  3. First of all you need to make sure that you give it in early, leaving time for the company to find replacement. It needs to be clean, polite, and leave the doors open for a possible future cooperation. IMO you will also have to thank the company for the "great time you had and valuable experience it offered you".
  4. short and to the point. your name, resign my position with{company name} effective {date} date and sign hand deliver to the person that should receive your resignation letter President Nixon resigned in 1 short sentence.
  5. Traditionally, you should only include minimal information in a resignation letter as it will go on file and you don't want to give away any information that could be used if for some reason it ended up as a legal matter. You should address it to your supervisor and just inform them that you intend to resign your position as XXXXX then state the effective date. You can choose to give reasons why verbally in person, but it is in your best interest not to put any of that in writing. Especially if you have gripes about people or things. You don't want to leave anything bad behind if you might end up needing a referral or something.
  6. Write: Thank you for the opportunity to work for you. I really enjoyed __________ and _____________. However, I feel I have out-grown my position and will resign effective ____ . I will be happy to discuss this transition and will help any way I can. I wish you and the company great success
