Can anyone give me advice on how to resign from a modeling agency?
I signed with Model Productions in Lawrenceville, GA a year ago and received access to their casting board on their website. I've submitted my photos to the clients that were listed. I either got no response, unavailable e-mail and/or mailing addresses. From what I've found out about them as I looked them up on the Internet, the majority of people say they are not helpful in marketing models and talent at all because they only give them photos with one look, rather than a variety of looks. The bottom line is, they're not legitimate nor they are licensed by SAG. I'm looking forward to leaving them but can anyone provide me any examples of resignation letters to modeling agencies?

- be polite, upfront and honest. Make every possible effort to leave on good terms because you might need them as a reference later on.
- "Based on after acquired information of Model Productions not being licensed by SAG, I hereby resign and renounce any obligations that may have been apparently created by the agreement signed on November 24, 2007. BTW: look at your contract. It would seem that a the firm is not what it represented itself to be. You may wish to call the Attorney Generals Office, Consumer Protection Division in your state. It would be helpful if you copied their Office on your letter.
- Before you do anything, read the fine print on their contract regarding termination on either party's part. You may be liable to pay a penalty if you leave for any reason before the end of the contract period. Most cities/states have legal aid offices you can call for free advice
