I've served in the ARNG for more than 8 years now. Two deployments later I find myself burnt out and torn between my civilian career, my family and the National Guard. I feel if I can't dedicate my time to the ARNG, I want someone to step up in my place who does have the time and can justifiably lead soldiers. After career counseling with my commander I've reached the conclusion that I don't want to transfer into the ING and that I'm ready to resign my commission. Does anyone have a good example they've seen or used?
