Can you give me an example of resignation letter?
Public Comments
- Dear Boss: I've enjoyed working here, but I think it's time to move on. So this is my resignation, effective at the close of business, two weeks from today. Sincerely,[your name] That should do it.
- Just start your letter at the top of the page with Dear Sir, As of this date (date) I am resigning from my position as ?... Do you need to give it a reason? If so then add the reason. make sure you sign the resignation letter with your name.) Make sure you date the current paperwork and go and make a copy for yourself and give the person the origional in an envelope that is sealed, with their name on it. Good luck.....
- Simple and to the point is the best way to go. Address it to your boss or Dear Sir/Madam. Simply state that you are ending your employment and on what date you intend to do so. Do not include a reason, it does not benefit you at all, and axe grinding will just hurt you with future re-employment with that company or with employment with others your company chooses to share your letter with (whether they should or not). If your company wants to know why you're leaving, and you feel you need to tell them, they can conduct an exit interview, which you can choose to participate in or not.
