1. How about - "I hereby tender my resignation effective {date}. Thank you for the opportunities you have afforded me during my tenure here." Keep it short and sweet. You NEVER want to get personal in a resignation letter. Never say anything that you wouldn't want to any future employer to know about or that you wouldn't want to see with an exhibit sticker on in a court case.
