Where can I find a template/structure for letter of IMMEDIATE RESIGNATION? I am resigning Monday from a job effective on the spot, not giving notice. Let's not get into why, and how you should give notice, etc. I was wanting some advice on how to write/if there is a template for immediate resignation? I am going to go and resign due to a very, very, complicated and bad situation that I have been put in. I have to do this to save my career because the employer is trying to make me do unethical/leaving me liable for things.
Does anyone have a good template I can use to draft a letter of resignation? How do you leave on good terms? I am leaving my job after 6+ years of service and relocating to another part of the country. I want to part ways on good terms, even though I am somewhat disgruntled at the moment. I need help drafting a letter of resignation that is polite, so as to not burn any bridges. However, I do want to convey my feelings of hurt and what I perceive to be a lack of reciprocal loyalty. Can this be done? Is it ethical? Is it proper? Is it professional? Am I just crying sour grapes? If you can offer any guidance, please do!!!

Advice on a letter of resignation? Unfortunately I have to quit my current job for circumstances that I can't really control.... Preferably a template I could use and just fill in my details! ;) Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Where can I find a good template or example of a officer resignation letter for the Army National Guard? I've served in the ARNG for more than 8 years now. Two deployments later I find myself burnt out and torn between my civilian career, my family and the National Guard. I feel if I can't dedicate my time to the ARNG, I want someone to step up in my place who does have the time and can justifiably lead soldiers. After career counseling with my commander I've reached the conclusion that I don't want to transfer into the ING and that I'm ready to resign my commission. Does anyone have a good example they've seen or used?
How do you write a resignation letter if you never actually started work there? I worked at a school as a contractor providing a service. Then they decided it was best to have me on payroll and I signed an employment contract. However when I dropped into the school the day before the contract started the school decided I was better off as a self employed contractor after all. I've been told to write a letter of resignation. The templates I've found all have some complimentary things about the workplace ie I've enjoyed working here, positive experience etc. However I 1. Am not really leaving as I've been here all along and still will be here. My status is simply changing. 2. Never actually did any work under the employment contract, so can't really say how I've enjoyed working here etc etc. In that case do I simply write the following? Dear Sir/Madam I am writing to inform [employer] of my resignation from the position of [position] at [school] This is with the knowledge and consent of the principal. Please let me know if there is anything else required in completing the resignation. Thank you. Yours Sincerely,

Help with my resignation letter after maternity leave?!? Hi all :) Haven't been on here in a LONG while, but realised, whenever in a dilema.... Ask Y!A Basically, my maternity leave started on 5th June 2009 with my little girl being born on 8th July 2009. I was planning on going back to work originally, but i had lots of complications after Kaydi's birth. I am currently going through councelling and on anti-depressants etc, meaning i really really do not feel ready to go to work. My relationship with my managers was strained at the time i left. Also the work that was within my job role has been taken over by someone who seems 'younger and better'. I have visited a few times and was made to feel very unwelcome, also another reason why i do not want to return there. I need some help with either a template or some words which you think i need to include into this letter? Also, do you think i have to hand deliver the letter or would posting it be ok? I really dont feel as though i could face them with the way im feeling at the moment. Look forward to hearing from you all. Thanks in advance xxx Im in the U.K by the way xxx

Thanks!!!! ~ i'm trying to quit on the 'best' terms i can... ( i've only been there a few months!!! ) btw: as one person commented why did i take the job: well fasle pretenses ... and i got lured in hook line and sinker when it comes to the position. wasn't what i was told the job was... but i'm no idiot. it's good money, i'm in with the gvt, i'm gonna keep my spot cuz it took me a HECK of a long time to get in. thoughts and comments are appreciated... and trust me... not like i hadn't thought of those myself already. this other job was in the works when i got this current offer... every other job i've had... i've lasted more than 2 yrs so... i dont feel 'so' bad in this case. if they'd been straight up, i prob wouldn't even have accepted it! thanks for the theories though. PS: good letter of resignation template. sounds good and straight to the point i want to make! tks!
Help me wirte a letter of resignation? I need a letter of resignation to hand into my employer but don't know what to write. The reason I am leaving is because I did not get paid for 2 months even though you were meant to be paid on a weekly basis. And when I finally did I was underpaid. I want this to be put into the letter as to why I am leaving. I have looked at templates online and they all say thank you for the opportunity and it was great to be working with you and all nice things about the company. Now I don't want to be rude but I don't want to be so nice. Now I am not saying that I want the letter to say how much of a horrible company they were to work for or anything. Any help would be great.
Can someone help me with my letter of resignation? I'm leaving my job and giving 1 month notice because I am moving to another city. I absolutely love my job and everyone I work with and will truly miss all of them. They all are aware of my move but I need to make the formal notice on paper. I have looked online for a template but nothing really is working for me. Here is what I have so far: Please accept this letter as formal notification that I am leaving my position at (company name) on October 15, 2009. I appreciate the professional guidance and support you have given me. I wish you and the company success in the future. The past seven months with this company have been very rewarding and everyone has been a pleasure to work with. I will truly miss everyone here. I hope that sometime in the future we can cross paths again. Thank you again for all that you have done for me. Is that ok or should I change something, or what? Thanks Julie- I just now added that. keiko- I changed the wording like you said. As far as letting them know so far in advanced. I won't be phased out. In fact, they are giving me extra work (I get paid by productivity) so I can earn extra cash for my move.
My boyfriend is quitting his job before finding another...? Ok, despite the economic issues we are having, he should be able to find a job in his field. He's not "schooled", but for the past 14 years he's been in a commercial janitorial occupation, private owned. He's currently the operations manager, but it's really not a great place to work mostly because of bad business practices by the owner. My boyfriend is his second hand man, but he's extremely underpaid, has to fight for time off and does not have insurance or other benefits. Basically he's come to realized he could get a lot more with less responsibility. The thing is that he put in a 30-day resignation letter and he has about three weeks on it now. He does not have a job. He does have a small fortune to live off, but I know it won't last as long as he thinks it will. I have found several job postings, gotten him applications, made a resume, a cover letter template and did his resignation letter for him. Now he's procrastinating on filling out the applications. I shared with my father that he has applications but hasn't filled them out and my dad felt that I should just fill them out for him. Does anyone else feel that way? I don't think my boyfriend would freeload off me and I wouldn't let him to be honest.
2 weeks notice letter? Hello. I am 16... and I just started my very first job (other than babysitting) in February. About a month ago, I found out that the grocery store I work at would be closing on August 1, 2010. When I heard the store was closing, I was kind of okay with it, because that meant that I could do marching band again this year. This was going to be my 4th year in marching band. I just found out not too long ago that the store is going to be open until at LEAST January. I am committed to band and work now. I've thought long and hard about what I'm going to do. I want to quit my job. I am afraid to though. It's my first job, and I don't want the boss to be mad at me because he is already losing a lot of people because they are graduating and going to college. I based this off of a template I got from a website. Is it okay? Should I change it? (I'm not putting names in it on here, I will on the actual letter though) Dear (Store owner): Please accept this letter as my notice of resignation, effective Tuesday, August 24, 2010. This was not an easy decision to make. I am grateful for the rewarding employment I've had with (Store name). I would like to be considered to be rehired in the future. Marching band keeps me busy. I originally was not going to do marching band because I found a job, but, (Store name) was originally going to be closing on August 1, 2010. I committed myself to marching band when I found this out. Now that(Store name) is not closing anytime soon, I can not both work and be in band. Band takes up almost every day after school and there are competitions on Saturdays. After much consideration, I have decided that I would be better off just in marching band. Sincerely, (My name... typed and signed)
